Thank goodness I am not so wicked that I could not rest today.  Sometimes you just need to just do nothing but relax. Today is one of those days. I woke up at noon and hopped on a bus to Bridgeport. We had a wonderful afternoon of brunch in our pajamas with some pretty awesome friends. I laughed so hard for so long that my face still hurts hours later. Some days are just perfect and today was one of those days. I hope every one takes a day once in awhile to do nothing but be lazy with friends. Enjoy your time together and just laugh.

  • DAY 6: TEAM FRIENDSHIP! A TEAM THAT CAN’T LOSE.

I am currently chugging coffee and owning this hang over I earned like a merit badge. My roommate and I went to see Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits last night. It was a reunion of old friends some of which we hadn’t seen in years. A night of heartfelt hugs and hellos has dragged my haggard ass into this morning. Ummmm…good morning everyone!

On to todays change, being a better friend. I think we all aim to be a good friend to the people in our lives. When it comes down to it the big question is whether or not you would help them move. Did you just cringe a little? My knuckles hurts just thinking about it. I still wholeheartedly believe that pizza and beer are a perfect bribe for an afternoon of pain. While I don’t have to move anyone today I am apartment hunting for someone. It’s easy to do this for him because if you knew him you would do anything for him too. Hi Kevin! When he comes over he helps fix our leaky sink, check out a messed up outlet and spends hours teaching me about woodworking. By the way all three of those things happened in one day! We’ll call him Super Kevin. He does this because that is just who he is, a great friend. He asked for nothing in return, I gave him pizza a beer. See people it goes a long way. I am also pretty sure he would lose his mind if he didn’t fix those issues with our apartment though. HA! He is currently working out on the east coast. When I heard he wouldn’t be getting home in time to find an apartment for the 1st I jumped at the chance to help. I am happy to spend the day driving around looking for places for him, preferably next door to us. It is the least I can do for all that he gives me. I am not talking about the giant flat screen tv he lent us while he is out of town but that is awesome too. While I aim to be a better friend to all my buddies out there today is where it begins, with Super Kevin. I love you all. I will do better and I will be better about being there for you when you need me. That’s what friends are for. CUE THE MUSIC! (I couldn’t pick just one cheesy video, so enjoy!)
